The Smallest Gallery in Soho presents ‘Soho Tableaux’
The latest installation ‘Soho Tableaux’ created by artist Damien Frost celebrates art, fashion, diversity and self-expression at its best. Damien Frost has created this wonderful image in a style reminiscent of the tableaux vivants of classical art. It aims to encapsulate the diversity of the Soho personalities in 2018.
The image was printed onto three large pieces of fabric to hang in the window like a triptych. Expressive characters in their vividly coloured costumes literally draw the observer from the street into their dreamy world.
Concealed linear light fittings tucked behind the window sill illuminate the display to best effect. A row of wide beam fixtures provides an even wash across the suspended fabric; another row of carefully focused fixtures brings out the detail of the image itself.
On display until late September 2018. Come and view at 62 Dean Street, London, W1D 4QF.
