Vicarage Gate House completed

The final stages of our lighting design, comprising of lighting control setting-up, are now being completed. We would encourage passers-by to have a look at an exceptional piece of new-built housing architecture, as well as an excellent example of fully integrated urban landscape lighting scheme, both a considerate response to challenges of a sensitive location in the heart of the conservation area of Kensington in London.

The exterior lighting was required to be visually interesting and provide a sense of comfort and safety, particularly along the narrow blind alleyway to duplex entrances to the north of the building, whilst being inconspicuous for minimal impact to existing surroundings. A discrete scheme was developed with specific care to minimise overall light levels, carefully control light distribution and be glare-free. All external lighting is integrated within the architectural elements: handrail, door surround, stone copings, benches, planters.

An extensive photographic evidence is also available on our website.
